The Rockus Band

Our first gig together as The Rockus Band was 11/09/05 at the World Famous “Biff Burger”. Shortly after that we began our residency at “JJ's Sports Lounge” and “TJ's Main on Street”. We were off and running. 

As you could imagine, there have been many shows at many places since then. Most of those places are now gone. Bulldozed to the ground. The Biff Burger is now a car wash. JJ's is an empty lot. TJ's is an auto parts store. It is a long list of “Rest In Pieces” when it comes to the places we've played. All we have left are fond memories and blurry photos.

But the band is still going. Still playing shows. Not bulldozed yet!

We played our first show at Quaker Steak and Lube on a Saturday night in August of 2006. Back then there was no outside stage and no “Bike Night”. Saturday night was dubbed “Blues Night” and we played inside with the big roller doors open. It was hot, but it was fun! Over the years as we grew, so did “The Lube” and together we took part in many great events and helped to benefit many worthy causes. We always welcomed our musical friends to the stage, some just starting out, some seasoned performers, and ALL were appreciated by the kind crowd that The Lube attracted. It was a friend and family place that always had room for everyone. So long QUAKER STEAK AND LUBE!
